Living. Learning. Healing.

Together.

MISSION: To establish a permanent home and learning environment where young women lead lives defined not by circumstance, but by purpose, community, and possibility. Rooted in creativity, compassion, and courage, this space nurtures the growth of confident changemakers ready to shape the future.

VISION: To create a thriving center for learning, leadership, and wellbeing—where each individual is supported holistically and given the tools, freedom, and space to grow. This home is more than a shelter; it is a place where new ideas are born, talents are discovered, and futures are written with confidence and joy.

CHALLENGE: For over a decade, Kranti has created powerful outcomes without the security of a permanent home. Frequent moves, rental limitations, and lack of long-term infrastructure have made it difficult to fully anchor programs or expand impact. The challenge is to design a space that adapts, endures, and amplifies Kranti’s vision—while honoring the diverse needs of those who live, learn, and lead here.

OPPORTUNITY: Kranti is a generational opportunity—to create a place that is stable yet flexible, deeply healing yet forward-looking. Situated in Himachal, it invites a global and local community to engage through learning, arts, wellness, and shared experiences. With intentional design and income-generating programs, this space becomes not just sustainable, but exemplary—a model of how home can be a platform for leadership, creativity, and long-term impact.

The Journey Begins

Designing A Home That Reflects Who We Are

For over a decade, Kranti has lived its name—Revolution—not through protest, but through presence. Through showing up, speaking out, and staying true to our belief: that every girl deserves more than safety—she deserves space. Space to grow, to learn, to lead, and to live with joy. After nine homes in twelve years, we are designing our tenth—and final—not as a building, but as a declaration. This home is being shaped by four design principles: Belonging, Adaptability, Joy, and Care.

Belonging:
Not a visitor’s welcome. A deep, quiet knowing: this place was made for me.

Adaptability:
Nothing here is fixed—not our dreams, not our schedules, not our floorplans. The space shifts as we do.

Joy:
Slides. Swings. Ladders to nowhere. Because we don’t wait for joy. We build it in.

Care:
Soft edges. Warm light. A layout that watches your back. Because safety shouldn’t be a rule—it should be a feeling.
